“It Takes a Parent: Transforming Education in the Wake of the No Child Left BehindAct,” by the Appleseed Network, 2006, is a report on how parental involvement works in public schools and what still needs to be done to fully top the power of parents and educators working in partnership. This report calls on federal, state, and local officials to do a better job of abiding by the parental involvement sections of the No Child Left Behind Act.
